|Пришло письмо от Ханса, всем привет...|
Hello Vladimir Pavlenko/R3LO and All Members of the Smolensk Radio Amateur Club of R3LA:
I’ve returned home to Long Beach, California safe and sound from a long flight from Vladivostok, Russian Far East on 25 August.
I thank you very much for the wonderful picture that was taken of myself with members of your fine Radio Amateur Club of Smolensk!
I thought that you would like to see these following pictures that were sent from the ISS.
Hans J. Heimburger/N6TCZ
EX: EW/N6TCZ; LY/N6TCZ; RA & RC/N6TCZ
Hello Hans. Thanks for your letter. How are you doing?
Yes, I got to admit, that's a gorgeous picture from the ISS.
I also tried to get some pictures from the ISS.
Sometimes, Russian cosmonauts work voices on 145.800MHz.
I saw in the news that South and North California was affected by wildfire.
It was a horrible and dangerous situation.
Hope you're well.
55 & 73!
Hello Vlad.R3LO and Everyone else:
First, Vlad/R3LO, I wish to thank you very much for being so kind and able to reply back so fast---within some 4-hours time!
I am doing better since arriving home from my very long journey across Central Europe throughout the whole of Russia, from Coast to Coast.
Yes, you are correct; when I arrived home the forest fires started in Northern California and now more South where I live, some 30-Km’s South of Los Angeles in the City of Long Beach, I am safe for now. The fires are some 50-100 Km’s away from my home in the low foot hills and mountains. I can smell some smoky air but so far that is it.
In the mountain passes some of the high winds have reached some 110-120-Kph! Tomorrow, Thursday 7/12, we should receive gusts of high winds reaching some 40-50 Kph!
I have already lowered my 16-Meter tall tower to prevent damage to the antenna for now. I also just learned that the high winds will died down on Friday which will be fine for it will be the start of the ARRL 10-Meter Contest! (The 10-Meter ham band doesn’t seem to be very good again this year!).
I will be preparing for our Christmas which will be celebrated on 25 December and your Orthodox Christmas will be celebrated on 7 January 2018.
In the meantime, hope to hear from any one of you fine Gentlemen or Fellow Hams; hope to work any of you during the ARRL 10-Meter Contest.
Have an early Christmas Seasonal Greetings to All of You!
Hans J. Heimburger/N6TCZ or Ханс Д. Хеймбергер
Well, I said hello to our hams for you.
I'm really glad that you are OK.
We've been having good weather here. It snowed all day today.
In winter here it's white with snow as far as you can see.
Great weather, isn't it?
I have no good antennas for 10m band and I do spend a lot of time on my work.
I worked only CW on 20/40/80m bands when I have some time.
Wish your ham-friends a merry Christmas for me.
I wish you and your families a good happy new year.
